A big thank you to the Warwick Town Community Forum and the National Lottery which provided funds to help remove the fallen willow and add the top dressing to the all persons path!

Friends of Myton Pool Trust would like to invite you to join us in bringing joy and light to Myton Pool this festive season.

It may have been a disrupted year we all faced, but let’s try to brighten up December at least! Get pebble painting again! This time making some festive themed advent calendars. Place 25 stones somewhere at the pool and remove one each day.

Decorate a tree in Bluebell Wood with solar-powered lights and naturally made decorations.

The 11th Community Green Flag Award for Myton Pool was awarded in October 2020.   Thank you to all our volunteers who have helped keep the Pool tidy and maintained during the Covid-19 restrictions.

Regrettably we have had to postpone our Summer Solstice joint event with Foundry Wood which was due to take place on 21st June due to the government guidance around Covid-19. We hope to be able to hold this event at a later date.

Remember the Pool is still open and can be used for daily exercise. Please also remember dogs should be kept on a lead at all times.

Thank you to all who recently contributed unwanted nest boxes (and an owl box!) These have been erected on suitable trees around the pool by neighbour volunteers.

Our scarecrow making competition on 8th September 2019 was a huge success! A big thank you to all those who made a scarecrow and also those who came to see them on display!

Here are a few of the offerings… from Where’s Wally to an Austrian hiker …

Our tenth anniversary working party, barbecue and live music event was a great success thanks to you!  It was wonderful to have lots of new and not so new faces at our community working party on Saturday 14th July 2019.

Myton Pool’s seasonal maintenance is solely achieved through local volunteers so your support is greatly appreciated.  The edges of the paths were strimmed and cleared, and over-enthusiastic foliage trimmed back to ensure that the pool area is accessible for all

What a magnificent day was had on Sunday 19th May 2019 when we welcomed the guided walk visitors from Foundry Wood to Myton Pool!  We learned much about the history of the area between Foundry Wood and Myton Pool and enjoyed some homemade cake and coffee.  Thank you to all those who helped set up and provide refreshments on the day. And a special thank you to Martin and Heather Haslett who led the guided walk.
