FROMP would like to thank the Heart of England Foundation and Big Lottery Fund for recent grants enabling tree maintenance to take place.
The FROMP Annual General Meeting will be held at 8pm via Zoom on Thurs 27th January. Associate members are welcome to attend. Details to follow.
Please be aware, there will be some tree work being carried out on Thursday 13th January in Bluebell Wood to remove a dead tree, so some of the site will be closed to keep visitors safe.
Sadly the decision has been taken to cancel this year’s Winter Solstice event following recent advice regarding Covid19. We hope to hold a Summer Solstice event next June. Watch this space!
We’re thrilled to announce that Myton Pool has yet again been awarded the Green Flag Award. In fact it’s our 12th consecutive Community Green Flag. The award is the international quality mark for parks and green spaces and is a testament to the hard work of our volunteers who carry on, whatever the weather to keep Myton Pool open and tidy for visitors.
Thank you to FROMP supporter Anne who has very kindly sent us some photographs of a variety of butterflies and birds she managed to spot on her recent visits to Myton Pool. If you have any photos from the pool please email them to firstname.lastname@example.org or post them on our Facebook page. We’d love to see them!
We are excited to report recent sightings of kingfishers back at the pool! Please send us your photographs via Facebook or email
Our tenth anniversary working party, barbecue and live music event was a great success thanks to you! It was wonderful to have lots of new and not so new faces at our community working party on Saturday 14th July 2019.
Myton Pool’s seasonal maintenance is solely achieved through local volunteers so your support is greatly appreciated. The edges of the paths were strimmed and cleared, and over-enthusiastic foliage trimmed back to ensure that the pool area is accessible for all.
What a magnificent day was had on Sunday 19th May 2019 when we welcomed the guided walk visitors from Foundry Wood to Myton Pool! We learned much about the history of the area between Foundry Wood and Myton Pool and enjoyed some homemade cake and coffee. Thank you to all those who helped set up and provide refreshments on the day. And a special thank you to Martin and Heather Haslett who led the guided walk.

We are a group of neighbours committed to the renovation and environmental regeneration of Myton Pool in Warwick, U.K. The area is all that remains of the formal Victorian gardens of the former Myton Grange.
Myton Pool was awarded its 10th Community Green Flag Award on Thursday 18th July 2019 at the ceremony in Northampton!
